Start Up Music

Kolorado started in 1984 as a "roadie" for Kool Moe Dee.  From there he hooked up with the likes of Guy, Heavy D, KRS-One and more and started his own group, Def Force, with two childhood friends, Tank and Rocco. In 1986, the three friends released "Kick the Bass" which became a local hit in the Richmond, Virginia area.  Soon afterwards, they signed with EMI records under the name, Shadz of Lingo and released three albums under moderate success.  Kolorado co-produced "Hitting Switches" with Erick Sermon for the "Who's the Man" soundtrack and later played drums on "Sunshine in the Rain" for Joi.
